DEANERY VISITS - Fr. Ian Hoskins (Dean) and Fr. Stephen Watson (Episcopal Vicar) will be visiting the parishes of our deanery and the date for St. John’s visit will be announced in due course. All welcome

SEA SUNDAY - Today is Sea Sunday when we pray for all those who live and work at sea. There will be a retiring collection for the Apostleship of the Sea. (the official maritime welfare agency of the Catholic Church)

FORWARD TOGETHER IN HOPE – The next phase of FTiH “Exploring the Way” is now underway. – Please make every effort to be involved and have YOUR say.

At the back of church is a summary of what this means to our parish during this transition. There are twelve questions requiring input from parishioners, these will be added to the back of the bulletin (two at a time) over the next few weeks. Please can you look at them and provide some feedback, either to Fr. Harriott direct or place in the box at the back of church. These questions are also now on St. John’s website for those who wish to submit electronically.

Next, Sunday 19th July, after the 10am mass, Jerry Laidler will be available in the Church Hall for an hour to listen to and capture any questions, concerns or ideas that parishioners may have. He will do this on an on-going basis as announced.

DIOCESAN NEWSLETTER – The July version of the Diocesan newsletter is at the back of church for your perusal.

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY – Sunday 6th Sept 2015 Durham Cathedral – “Living the Joy of the Gospel” A Celebration of our shared commitment to the Gospels. We hope to collaborate with the churches around us including our sister parish of St. Pauls, Cramlington and our ecumenical partners, St. Pauls, Dudley – More information to follow. COFFEE AFTERNOONS – Will be held the second Thursday of every Month i.e. 16th July 2015 & 13th August 2015. All welcome.

Because of Holidays July will be changed to 3rd Thursday 16th July 2015
