Prayer & Remembrance Tree - November is traditionally the month during which the Catholic Church remembers and prays for all our deceased relatives and friends. Remembering is a very important part of bereavement. Please feel free to hang a picture or write a name of a loved one on a ‘butterfly’ and hang it on the Remembrance Tree, which is at the back of church. The butterflies and pens are next to the tree and suggestion box.

"Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live’

St. John the Baptist Lourdes Fund - A decision was made that the money raised by the Sunday morning tea and coffee would be transferred into a St. John the Baptist Lourdes Fund.

The idea of this fund is that any parishioner, who will be travelling on a recognised pilgrimage either as a sick person, a member of the diocesan youth or as a helper, can apply to one of the administrative committee, using a simple form, for a grant to assist them with the cost of their pilgrimage. The application will be discussed, in confidence, at a meeting of the administrative committee and a decision as to the level of support will be communicated back to the applicant as soon as practical. If anyone requires any further information please feel free to contact Kathleen Dawson (tel. 0191 2667775 or Monica Mills tel. 0191 2680222)
