Sunday 20th November 2016 National Youth Sunday: Celebrating God’s Mercy

Next Sunday the Church in England and Wales celebrates National Youth Sunday. At the same time we join the Church around the world in marking the close of the Jubilee Year of Mercy on the feast of Christ the King. This provides us with the opportunity to invite young people to be at the heart of our celebration next week in our family mass at 9.30am. If any young people would like to take part please contact Kathryn Maggs. After mass there will be a raffle and cake sale in the hall to raise funds for youth and family activities over the next year. Your support, as always, is very much appreciated.

Events for You … Please get involved if you have time

Sunday 27th November - Northumberland Deanery Workshop at 12:30pm - St. Aidan’s, Ashington

We NEED YOUR HELP (as always :) - All are invited – families too as this ‘activity’ is for all ages and we really would like to make it a family affair. Your task – if you should accept it - will be to assemble a large number of small gifts to be blessed & distributed at the Christmas Masses in our deanery.

Remember ‘Many hands make light work’ so please come along if you can and help us continue building our communities and reaching out to all.

The afternoon will include a time of prayer and as we reflect on forming new parish partnerships, it’s also a chance to meet people from other local parishes. If sou can, please also bring something for a shared food table.
