FTiH – Update on Proposal Submission

We have meet with our partnership representatives and are on course to complete the proposal for submission on Sunday 27th November. Once the proposal has been finalised by all representatives it will be presented and displayed at the back of church and also on St. John’s website/social media. It very much reflects the feedback you have all so kindly provided and allowed us to create a blueprint for how we can work together going forward.

St. John’s Youth Council:

Today, Sunday 20th November 2016 is National Youth Sunday: Celebrating God’s Mercy

It is Pope Francis wish that we not only seek Mercy, but also give Mercy and it is appropriate that this year’s Youth Sunday theme is “He is Mercy”.

Today, we will be celebrating our young and some of StJohns Youth Council will be leading us in prayer during our family mass.

Also, after mass there will be a raffle and cake sale in the hall to raise funds for youth and family activities over the next year – so please feel free to bring a few cakes to sell.

Your support, as always, is very much appreciated.

St. John’s Youth Council + WE WILL REMEMBER THEM + Falling Poppies +

Thank you all for your support.

After the ceremony at the gravesides and the releasing of the 28 red balloons, the poppy wreaths were taken by some of the children and laid at the Cenotaph in Cramlington Village. They all did us very proud.

A short video of the blessing and releasing of the balloons is on St. John’s website/social media.
