Proclaim'15 @StJohns

Proclaim '15 is the name of a new initiative being launched in 2015 by the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales to support, enthuse and equip parish evangelisation.

We are hoping at St. John’s that YOU will become involved and help “adapt” this initiative for our own purposes.

Parts of the initiative echo the #GoodNews+ that we currently perform – and we are seeking your input on how to further increase our outreaching to the community around us.

It is also in line with the themes of Pope Francis's Evangelii Gaudium (EG) and the “Forward Together in Hope” journey we are all on.

Therefore:

• • We are asking all parishioners to get involved in this initiative and together we can continue to be an “out reaching” parish.

  • We need your ideas and your input to build on what we do and to put any ideas that we have into practice and make it part of our “DNA”.

Please have a look at the information on St. Johns website and on the Proclaim’15 notice board at the back of church - we hope it will stimulate ideas and discussion.

Once you’ve had time to think about this initiative, and you feel you have something to contribute, then please either contact Fr. Harriott or a member of the parish council. We really want to know your opinions – especially any suggestions and solutions.

And if you can take up the challenge and spend a bit of time, then all the better ... but in truth, it is all about getting your feedback and ideas in order to build a “perfect parish”.
