An SVP requested retiring collection will be taken today (31^st Jan. 2016) for the children of the Sudan

4^th February – Northumberland Deanery Service Thursday 4^th Feb. 2016 7pm at St. Aidans Church, Ashington NE63 8AD. Priests are available for individual confessions. See notice at the back of church.

COFFEE AFTERNOONS – The next two Coffee Afternoons will be held on Thursday 11^th Feb. 2016 and 10^th Mar. 2016 at 1.30pm. These are open to ALL, Please come along.

BAPTISM – Please remember in your prayers Amelia Faith Baker who will be baptised today 31^st Jan.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNIONS – The next meeting for children preparing for First Holy Communion will be held at St. Pauls's on Thurs. 4^th Feb. At 6pm. The children who will be making their First Holy Communion at St. John's should try and be at Mass at 9.30am on 7^th February.

LENTEN PREPARATION – Starting on Wed. 10^th Feb., Kathleen Dawson will be leading a Lenten reflection based on the Gospel, these will take place every Wed during Lent at 2.30pm in the Hall. Anyone requiring transport, please contact Kathleen on 0191 2667775.

TEA & COFFEE – Starting 7^th February, tea and coffee will be available in the hall after Mass on Sundays.

CHURCH CLEANING – The parish has a church cleaning team who clean the church on the first Monday of the month. Anyone wishing to volunteer should contact Paddy Davidson on 01670 734144.

CHOIR PRACTICE – The choir meet on a Monday evening at 7.30pm to practice the music for the following Sunday 9.30am Mass. Anyone interested would be welcome to come along.
