CHILDREN'S LITURGY OF THE WORD -

Our aim in Children's Liturgy and in the Children's Mass is to help children grow in the faith of the Catholic Church and to develop as full and active members of our parish community.

We welcome children between the 4 – 8 years of age (before they have made their First Holy Communion) to join us at the 9.30am Sunday Mass.

Children are accompanied by adult catechists from the Sunday morning Mass during the Liturgy of the Word and gather in the church hall to celebrate a separate Liturgy of the Word that is more appropriate to their level of understanding.

The children will return to church with their catechists before the offertory procession to continue the rest of the Mass with their family.

We ask parents to stay in church and allow the children to have their own Liturgy of the Word.

We are always looking for new volunteers to help with the Children's Liturgy Group.

If any adult would like to volunteer to join the catechists' team, please get in touch with Barbara Wareing 01670 714939 or mobile 07841 412724.

Anyone working with children or attending the Children's Liturgy of the Word are required to be vetted under Diocesan Safeguarding Regulations.
