NEW PARISHIONERS - If you are a new member of the parish, would you please make yourself known to Fr. Harriott or a member of the Parish Council and complete a form available at the back of church.

PARISH COFFEE AFTERNOON – The Parish Council has decided to hold the first afternoon on Thursday 11th Dec. 2014 (this week) at 1.30pm. Please feel free to come along. Transport can be provided. Add your name to the list at the back of church, also the name of anyone housebound who would wish to attend.

YOUTH MASS – To give the youth of the parish an opportunity to get involved in parish life, this will be held at the 10am Mass on Sunday 14th December, please give them your support. An appeal for cakes for the get together after the Mass - can you provide :) most grateful if you can #GodBless

Benet Biscops “Youth Mission” - During the year, the kids from St. Benet Biscop have been planning and developing their "Youth Mission Week" with the aid of the YMT. This will take place from the 10th-18th December and a number of events are open to all parishioners.

It is hoped young and not so young will go along to the school and show our support.

ADVENT APPEAL – St. Cuthbert's Care. The box in the church floor will receive donations during advent for this diocesan agency Hardship Funds which supports older Catholic people with limited financial means.

SVP APPEAL – The SVP are appealing for funds to help the people of Sudan, please donate via the SVP box.

CHLOE BEANEY – A young girl from St. Paul's parish has had a heart transplant, please keep her in your prayers.

CONFIRMATIONS – will take place at St. Paul's, Cramlington on Thursday 14th May 2015, this celebration is available to St. John's parishioners. Criteria – must be year 9 and above. Please contact Rob Wareing. 07939 140966

CHRISTMAS FLASH MOB - 20th Dec. at 11am at Newcastle Central Station (simply turn up just before 11)

SCHOOL ADVENT CAMPAIGN – The schools are sending out on our behalf, invite to all parents to celebrate mass during the season of Advent. There is also an invite on the back of this newsletter, please pass on to those you think would come to mass during this joyous season.

FLOWERS FOR THE CHRISTMAS ALTAR – Janet & Angie Memola will be raffling a Christmas Cake donated by Symphony & Sugar to raise funds for flowers for the Christmas Altar. Raffle to be drawn 20th Dec. 2014
