PLANNED GIVING ENVELOPES – Your next financial year's envelopes (commencing Sunday 1^st April 2018) are available at the back of church, please collect them as soon as possible. For those who pay by Direct Debit, envelopes are available for your Special Collections.

25^th March 2018 following the 9.30am Mass. A collection box is in the porch to receive donations for the Tombola Stall. Please DO NOT confuse this box with the Refugee box.

GRAVEYARD – We will be carrying out ground levelling in South section of the East Graveyard immediately after Easter. This work is necessary for the Health and Safety of our VOLUNTEER Gardeners and to reduce the wear of our grass cutting equipment. Please DO NOT go into the graveyard when this work is being carried out. Thank You

USED STAMPS – Please save all the stamps from your Cards and letters for the Little Sisters of the Poor.

Please place them in the box at the back of church.

GARDEN OF REMEMBRANCE – We still require additional volunteers before this project can get off the ground, please add your name to the list at the back of church.

COFFEE AFTERNOONS – The next two Coffee Afternoons will be on Thurs. 12^th Apr. 2018 and Thurs 10^th May at 1.30pm. These are open to ALL, not just parishioners, Please come along and invite a friend and/or your neighbour.

EVENING CHRONICLE TOKENS – Thanks from Janet Memola to those who gave the tokens and helped to raise the sum of £2388.28 towards the Air Ambulance. The Air Ambulance came 2nd again in the vote.

Immortal Diamond - An opportunity to take part in a programme of group exploration, reflection and sharing based on the exciting themes of Richard Rohr’s book Immortal Diamond: The Search for Our True Self (required reading). The group will meet on the last Wednesday of each month from 1.30 to 3.30 beginning on 25 April at Our Lady and St Joseph's Parish House, New Hartley. A Call To CAFOD - Do you have some spare time? If so would you be interested in becoming a CAFOD Education Volunteer, visiting Catholic schools in our diocese to speak about the work of CAFOD to pupils and help to make them aware of things like Climate Change, poverty. John Dowling has again expressed J&P gratefulness for all your efforts, and asks to keep bringing shoes – particularly for men. PLEASE NOTE – Clothes or bedding are NOT required as it is difficult to store such items at the J&P centre

Partnership Holiday/Pilgrimage Gozo, First Week in September 2018:

Names are being finalised in order to book flights and accommodation in the Jesuit Retreat Centre in Gozo. Could those who have shown interest please confirm to Graham Wilkins (07929115712 ) or Deacon Rob Wareing (07841530991). Rob & Graham will soon be arranging a meeting for all concerned.

Partnership Mass & Get Together - Friday 20^th April 2018 @7pm:

A snippet from St. Pauls Bulletin “… It is our [StPauls] turn to hold the Partnership Mass and get together. Mass is at 7pm and get together afterwards at the Benedictine. We would like to do a shared table so if anyone can help co-ordinate this then please contact Fr. Lee …” As more details emerge we will let you know. Please try to support all partnership events as we move ever closer to becoming a united family in the Risen Christ.

Diocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage – 2018 - The annual Hexham & Newcastle pilgrimage runs from Friday July 27th to Friday, August 3rd. It is by air from Newcastle. The pilgrimage contact is Fr. Adult Helpers required: The Lourdes pilgrimage could not take place without the invaluable support given by our many adult helpers. If you would like to volunteer for this year's pilgrimage, the Adult Helpers Registration Form is available from Fr. Stott.

Benedictine Weekend Entertainment – Every Saturday night from 6:30pm until late the Benedictine social club has live music entertainment along with bingo - £3 cover charge.

Every Sunday night from 7:30pm Bingo And 50/50 Dancing – come and do the Tango, Foxtrot, Rumba £1 cover charge.
