FRIDAY MASS – Fr. Lee Barrett has kindly offered to celebrate Mass at St. John's on Friday evenings at 7pm., unless otherwise advised.

YEAR OF MERCY LAUNCH – St. Mary's Cathedral 8^th Dec. 2015. See notice at the back of church.

ADVENT – Wed's. 9^th & 16^th Dec. Kathleen Dawson will be leading an Advent gospel reflection at 2.30pm in the Parish Hall. Anyone requiring transport, please contact Kathleen on 0191 2667775

CONTACT DETAILS – There is a list at the back of church of Parishioners who have completed the Parish Register form. If your name is NOT on the list, we would appreciate you completing a form.

PARISH VOLUNTEERS – If you feel you have talents/skills that would be beneficial to the parish, please mention to Fr. Harriott or the Parish Council for consideration. We are also looking for a Health and Safety Officer to take over the duties currently carried out by Vince Rooker.

CATECHISTS – Fr. Harriott would especially like volunteers to assist our children in the preparation of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. If you feel you can assist please contact Fr. Harriott.

COFFEE AFTERNOONS – The next two Coffee Afternoons will be held this Thursday 10^th Dec. 2015 and Thursday 14^th Jan. 2016 at 1.30pm. These are open to ALL, Please come along.

CHRISTMAS CAKE RAFFLE – Cake donated by "Symphony in Sugar". Tickets sold 6^th &13^th Dec.

Winner drawn after Mass 13^th Dec. Collect cake 20^th Dec. Proceeds towards Christmas Altar flowers.

CAN YOU HELP – Young people required for Advent Carol Service at St. Paul's Church, Sunday13th Dec. at 4pm. Young people to do readings and participate in the service. If your child would like to be involved.

SCHOOL ADVENT CAMPAIGN – The schools are sending out invites on our behalf, to all parents to celebrate Mass during Advent. PARISHIONERS ADVENT INVITE – There is also an invite on the back of this Newsletter for your family, friends or neighbour.

REMINDER – If you or a relative go into hospital for treatment and would like a visit from the Catholic Chaplain, you must request this from the Ward staff. Because of client confidentiality, the staff cannot inform the chaplain automatically even though you state you are a Catholic.
