CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX APPEAL – Please can you bring your box to church and place on Our Lady's Altar NO LATER than the 10am Mass this Sunday.

YOUTH MINISTRY CONFERENCE WITH DAVID WELLS – All adult and young people (15+) are invited to this years conference entitled “Outrageous Hope” on Saturday 22nd November 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic School, Newcastle. No charge. Application forms from Jerry Laidler 07801 542372 jerrylaidler@sky.com.

The Pope John Paul II Award, which invites young people to take an active part in the life of the Church and of the wider community, is being launched at the conference.

FORWARD TOGETHER IN HOPE – CALLING THE DIOCESE TO PRAYER – A Pastoral Letter from Bishop Cunningham will be read at all Masses this weekend. A Day of Reflection for Clergy and Laity with Bishop Seamus. 2nd December at St. Mary's Cathedral. Please see notice board for details. Also leaflets available at the back of church providing further information.

YOUTH SUNDAY – Next weekend we celebrate Youth Sunday. There will be a Retiring Collection taken, Bishop Seamus and the Youth Team thank you for your generosity to last year's collection. Your gift enables YMT to provide opportunities for the young people of our diocese.

PARISH COUNCIL – The next Parish Council Meeting will be held on Sunday 23rd November 2014 following the 10am Mass.

CHLOE BEANEY – A young girl from St. Paul's parish is very poorly in intensive care, please keep her in your prayers.

CONFIRMATIONS – will take place at St. Paul's, Cramlington on Thursday 14th May 2015, this celebration is available to St. John's parishioners. Criteria – must be year 9 and above. Please contact Rob Wareing.

HEXHAM & NEWCASTLE DIOCESE PILGRIMAGE TO THE HOLY LAND - 12th – 19th October 2015

Cost £1295 per person (based on two sharing twin accommodation)

PILGRIMAGE TO GOZO – St. Paul's are organising this 4-11th June 2015 staying at the Jesuit Retreat Centre. Open to the deanery. £500 includes flights, transfers, half board. Anyone interested contact Graham at St. Paul's.

WW2 DEAD OF THE PARISH – We are trying to obtain memorial certificates of the dead of the parish and are having difficulty tracing John McNally. Can anyone give his regiment or where and when he died.
