NEW PARISHIONERS - If you are a new member of the parish, would you please make yourself known to Fr. Harriott or a member of the Parish Council and complete a form available at the back of church.

BAPTISM – Please remember in your prayers Clara Annabel Laker who will be baptised on Sunday 6th Sept. at 11am

GIFT AID STATEMENTS – There is a Gift Aid Statement at the back of church for All those who gift aid their planned giving. Please collect yours.

CHANGING MASS TIMES – Please see the Information on the Notice Board and the questionnaire/comment slips at the back of church. Saturday 12th Sept will be the last Vigil Mass and Sunday 13th Sept. will be the first 9.30am Mass at St. John's.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNIONS – A parents meeting for parents of all those children wishing to make their First Holy Communion next year is to be held in St. John's parish hall this Wed 9th Sept. 2015 at 6pm.

RED MISSION BOXES – If your box has not been emptied recently, please bring to church next week and collect it the following week.

FTiH - Youth & First Holy Commitment Mass – Sunday 27th September 9.30am Mass at St John's will be a Youth Mass for young people of both St. Paul's and St. John's parishes.

Both Fr. Harriott and Fr. Lee will concelebrate the mass which will be based under the umbrella of ‘Forward together in Hope’.

During the mass the parents of the children who wish to make their first Holy Communion in May (2016) will make their commitment promises.

After mass, we will all gather together to celebrate our youth and the commitment they have made. Our young people will be invited to participate in a small ‘Forward together in Hope’ activity which will take place in the Hall. We are also asking parishioners if they would kindly bring food to celebrate this occasion. We will have a Marquee on the lawn of St. John’s for the occasion and it would be lovely to see you all there.

Practice/Meeting on Friday 11th September 2015 at 6pm at St. John’s:

If your child would like to participate in the Youth Mass in anyway – Greeting, reading, offertory, singing, helping with refreshment’s etc there will be a practice/meeting on Friday 11th September 2015 at 6pm at St. John’s.

Deanery Evangelisation Meeting – Saturday 19th Sept 2015 at St. Bede’s Bedlington starting at 12:30pm. Please support this event and come along and meet, talk and share practical ideas that we can use in our parish. There will also be a shared table. Forward together in Hope (FTiH) – Becoming Disciples of Jesus - Please make every effort to be involved and have YOUR say.

All twelve questions have now been published in the bulletin and spare paper copies are at the back of church. Please provide your feedback direct to Fr. Harriott or place in the box at the back of church. Minutes of ALL meetings are also in the FTiH book at the back of church, please read and feel free to respond.

The next FTiH parishioners meeting will be on Sunday 13th September following the 10am Mass. Jerry Laidler and PC members will be available at the meeting to listen to, and capture any questions, concerns or ideas.

FTIH – Responding to Questions – Some parishioners have already come forward and offered their services in helping collate information in order that we answer the questionnaire as fully as we can. If any parishioner wishes to offer their services, please speak with Fr. Harriott.

Important – The Diocese FTiH Team have created a short online questionnaire which can be completed by anyone. Please encourage as many people as possible to complete it. It can be downloaded from St. John's website or the FTiH website www.hope.rcdn.org.uk
