CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION – Will be held directly after this Mass followed by Benediction in the church. Refreshments will be served by the YPC AFTER the Procession and Benediction.

PARTNERSHIP MASS – with Bishop Robert Byrne, Tuesday 2^nd July 2019 at 7pm at the Sacred Heart, Gosforth.

Rehearsal for anyone wishing to play an instrument or sing – Monday 24^th June 2019 at 7pm in the church.

YPC AFTERNOON TEA – Please see the notice on the back of the bulletin for the Afternoon Tea that the YPC will be holding on Sunday 7^th July from 2 to 4pm. Tickets £5. Comprising Afternoon Tea, a Raffle and a few games of Bingo.

BACKWORTH CHOIR CHARITY CONCERT – To be held in St. John's on Saturday 20th July 2019 at 7pm in aid of Guide Dogs. Please see the Noticeboard. Tickets £7 - available from Angelo or Janet Memola.

PARISH BBQ – We are planning a Parish BBQ to be held on Saturday 10^th August at 3pm. To assist with the planning, please add your name and contact telephone number to the list at the back of church.

Cost of tickets and further info to be provided at a later date. Cook your food (supplied) and bring your own drink.

FIRST AIDERS – An update training session has been organised for Backworth Choir First Aiders for Thursday 8^th August 2019 from 12 noon to 3.30pm in the Confederation Room. St. John's First Aiders are also invited to attend the session. Please speak to Gerry Killen to make a reservation as numbers will be limited to 14

BISHOP SEAMUS CUNNINGHAM – writes to thank the Priests and People of the Diocese for the generous gift presented to him on the occasion of his retirement. Please keep him in your prayers as he will be praying for us,

MASS OFFERINGS – Please use the Mass offering envelopes at the back of church and provide a tel. no. just in case your preferred date is not available. Weekday Masses are not too far in advance.

COFFEE AFTERNOONS – The next two Coffee Afternoons will be on Thurs. 11^th July & 8^th Aug. 2019 at 1.30pm. These are open to ALL, not just parishioners, Please come along and invite a friend and/or your neighbour.
