GRAVEYARD – Because of the decreasing space availability, it was agreed by the Parish Council that only current

St. John's Parishioners can be buried or interred in the church grounds; unless there is space available into an existing family grave.

No space adjacent to a family member can be guaranteed; this will only be on a best endeavour basis at the specific time, as a plot CANNOT be reserved.

Fr. Harriott and the FULL Parish Council ONLY have discretion to grant permission for non-parishioners to be buried in the church grounds.

Specification in a will should not automatically be taken by any Funeral Director as permission to burial or internment in St. John's graveyard.

PARISH COUNCIL – There will be a meeting of the Parish Council next Sunday 13^th January 2019 following the 9.30am Mass. Any parishioner wishing to bring anything to the attention of the PC must do so in writing to Fr. Harriott.

The unadopted minutes of the previous meeting are on display on the porch notice board.

Items to be discussed include safeguarding, GDPR regulations,church columns, door treatment, parking bays,

drive drainage, and deep church cleaning.

2019 NORTHERN CATHOLIC CALENDARS – On sale at the back of church. COST £3

COFFEE AFTERNOONS – The next two Coffee Afternoons will be this Thurs. 10^th Jan. & 14^th Feb. 2019 at 1.30pm. These are open to ALL, not just parishioners, Please come along and invite a friend and/or your neighbour.

MASS OFFERINGS – Sunday Masses are 8 weeks in advance, weekdays are 2 weeks in advance. Please use the Mass offering envelopes at the back of church and provide a tel. no. just in case your preferred date is not available.
