After the ceremony, the blessed poppy wreaths will be taken by the children and laid at the Cenotaph in Cramlington Village. Again, all children are most welcome to attend. Please also see last year’s short video of the blessing and releasing of the balloons, which is on St. John’s website/social media.

Sunday 26th November - Youth Sunday 9:30am Family Mass

This year’s Youth Sunday is on 26th November, the Feast of Christ the King. The theme is ‘YES’ and invites us to reflect on Mary’s ‘Yes’ to what God was calling her to do. In his 2017 World Youth Day message, Pope Francis challenges young people to follow in the footsteps of Mary who, as a young person, had the faith and courage to say ‘Yes’ knowing that she could be confident in trusting God with her life whatever the obstacles.

    1. It is intended that ALL parishes in the partnership will receive bookmarks with the theme of ‘Yes’ for parishioners to distribute and ‘pass on’

    2. Any child wishing to be part of the Mass (however small), please contact Kathryn Maggs

Prayer & Remembrance Tree - November is traditionally the month during which the Catholic Church remembers and prays for all our deceased relatives and friends. Remembering is a very important part of bereavement. Please feel free to hang a picture or write a name of a loved one on a ‘butterfly’ and hang it on the Remembrance Tree, which is at the back of church. The butterflies and pens are next to the tree and suggestion box.
