FUNERALS – Ronnie (John Ronald Connolly) the 89 year old gentleman who collapsed during the Christmas Carol Service, his funeral is to take place from his home parish in Pelaw, Gateshead on Monday 12^th January 2015. at 10am.

Jim Gray's funeral is to held at St. Paul's Cramlington on Tuesday 27^th January 2015 at 12.45pm.

Please remember both of them in your prayers. R.I.P.

COFFEE AFTERNOON – The next coffee afternoon will be held this week on Thursday 15^th Jan. 2015 at 1.30pm. All are welcome. Anyone requiring transport please leave your name & tel. no. on the sheet at the back of church. Invite open to all, not just Catholics.

BAPTISM OF THE LORD – Today we welcome all those who were baptised at St. John's during 2014, and their families.

iTHIRST – The second "faith talk in a pub" with the theme "What if Aliens Exist" is to be held on Sunday 18^th January 2015 at 7.30pm in the Londonderry, Sunderland SR1 3ES (see leaflets at the back of church and on the Parish website). Jerry Laidler 07801 452372 has a few seats in his car if anyone requires a lift. Free food, music and banter.

MASS OFFERINGS – Mass offerings (Intentions) are not too far in advance now. Please use the envelopes available at the back of church. If you want a mass offered on a specific date, please give your telephone number on the envelope just in case your required date is not available. Weekend Masses are further in advance.

DIOCESAN JANUARY E-NEWSLETTER – Please visit the Parish Website to view this. For those who cannot access the website, a copy is displayed on the notice board at the back of church.

FOOD BANKS (Repeat Notice) - Some interest has been expressed recently. Tesco's organised a Neighbourhood Food Collection last month and donated to Trussell Trust and Fareshare local food depots, Tesco's then top up by 30%, these will be a regular occurance. In addition there is the Bay Foodbank at North Shields, the Wansbeck Foodbank at Ashington and St. Nicholas Church in Cramlngton. Demand has doubled in the last year. Should you wish to donate, please do so via Tesco or leave at the back of church and we will deliver to St. Nicholas church in Cramlington.

POLITE REQUEST – Mentioned to the Parish Council. When visiting the Sacristy, please use the passage to the left of Our Lady's Altar, please do not walk across the main Altar. Thank You.
