A VOICE OF PEACE - A Voice of Peace - “Can I give him my eyes?"

These are the words Richard Moore's father spoke when he realised that the rubber bullet fired by a British soldier had blinded his 10 year old son on his way home from school. Richard's own journey began that day and has led to an incredible story of forgiveness, reconciliation with the soldier and to working around the world to protect children in areas of conflict.

Diocesan Festival – 24th & 25th June

This year’s festival takes place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June at the Emmaus Youth Village. Come and experience this event which offers an inspiring programme for adults, young people and children.

As we move into new partnerships in our Diocese and face the joys and challenges of being a disciple of Jesus in a changing world, the festival offers us a chance to reflect and to be inspired. This year’s theme is ‘Changing Hearts: The Challenge of Discipleship’. Clare Dixon will speak about the life of Oscar Romero, whose centenary we celebrate this year. RISE Theatre will present a drama about this martyr of our own times. There will be talks from David Wells and Sr Judith Russi. The programme also includes prayer, liturgy, discussion, music and time to relax. It’s a great way to see first-hand how our Youth celebrate their faith

For further information please see Kathryn Maggs (Booking Form: http://www.ymt.org/diocesan-festival-2017.html)
