Happy Halloween!
Things To Know:
*Field trip time! On November 13, second grade will be going to the Fort Worth Zoo. Permission slips went out today. Because of the generosity of our wonderful PTA, there is no cost for students. However, they will not be allowed to attend without signed permission slips turned in to the teachers. There are 3 forms and all must be filled out and signed.
If you would like to chaperone, there is a box to check to let us know on the front page. You must have already completed and received approval for the district background check in order to chaperone. All chaperones are responsible for purchasing their own tickets once you are on the classroom chaperon list.
*Storybook Parade for K-2 will be Friday, October 31. Students are allowed to dress in costume of a book they have read. The teachers will be the characters from the Wizard of Oz. We will have an option for anyone who is not participating in dressing up to be a part of our theme. We will provide wings, tails and a hat to any student that would like be a flying monkey for the parade. Just let us know so that we can prepare enough costumes for all that would like to join.
*Please continue to encourage your child to read, read, read. Books are great to grab before getting in the car.
*Make sure you visit the calendar at the end of the newsletter. There are many events coming up.
*The cafeteria is taking visitors again! If you would like to have lunch with your child, please sign in at the office before coming to the cafeteria. Second grade lunch is from 12:00 - 12:30.
*Thank you to all the parents for donating snacks to our classrooms. With a later lunch, we will go through them quickly.
*Another thank you for the class donations from our class Wishlists on Amazon. The children will benefit from your generosity. Please continue to check for new items added to our lists.
