fall parent/teacher conferences

If you are interested in having a parent/teacher conference, we are creating a Sign Up Genius for you to sign up & meet with your child's homeroom teacher.  The available times will be Wednesdays and Thursdays during our conference time (10:20-11:10) and we have also been given a half-day sub on Wednesday October 22nd in order to hold additional conferences during the school day.  If you look at the Sign Up Genius and find that no date and/or time works for you,  please reach out and we would be more than happy to organize with you 1:1, thank you.

Mrs. Welch and I will each meet with the families of our homeroom students. Before each meeting, we will speak with one another to obtain notes (academic/behavioral etc) that we can share with you during the conference.

Curriculum for this week...

Math

• I can divide four digit numbers by one digit numbers

• I can solve multi-step word problem using multiplication and division

ELAR

• I can participate effectively in a socratic seminar.

• I can correctly answer a question using good SCR form.

• I can edit and revise my "letter to myself" that I will read at the end of the year.

• I can develop stronger writing habits and improve grammar skills.

• I can correctly use capitalization in writing.

Science 

• I can identify the difference between mixtures and solutions

Social Studies

• I can learn about the five foundational principles of geography while exploring Texas.

• I can learn vocabulary associated with the state of Texas.

• I can use map skills and learn vocabulary associated with maps.

• I can identify the regions of Texas.
