We had a wonderful trip to The Perot Museum. Thank you to the parents who volunteered their time to chaperone and those who met us there. We are thankful to our PTA for sponsoring the entire trip, including the Gator T-shirts. Everyone was able to enjoy exploring the museum. For some it was the first time and those who had been before, still saw new things! We are fortunate to live in an area with many cultural activities to enjoy.
In math we completed our data/graphing work and will be applying our knowledge to plan holiday parties coming up.
In literacy, we used skills we have learned to retell The Plump and Perky Turkey, discuss problem and solution as well look at vocabulary we don't regularly see. After the break, we will continue with Module 5 in HMH and work in some holiday themed books with the skills in that module.
We will be studying holidays and traditions in social studies and would love to include all of our Gator family customs and traditions. If your family celebrates in a way we can highlight, please let your child's teacher know. Children enjoy teaching friends about their family traditions.
We are thankful for the beautiful holiday lunch provided by families on Friday for the staff. It was a nice way to begin the break and remind us that our community is both generous and unique. We hope you have been making memories.
