Last week, we went from awesome to author-tastic! Our 3rd-graders dove headfirst into a fantastic week of learning and literary fun. The highlight, of course, was our wonderful book fair. The students were full of bright smiles and tough decisions as they navigated the aisles of incredible books. The excitement over new stories was contagious, and it was a great way to encourage their love of reading. Be sure to ask your child about the books they chose and what they're most excited to read!
You're invited to our "Lunch with a Loved One" on October 9th at 11:00! Pack a favorite picnic lunch and join your student on the front lawn for a relaxing and special meal together. We believe that strong family engagement is key to student success, and this event is a perfect way to share in your child's school experience. We look forward to seeing our campus filled with families and creating joyful memories!
We are wrapping our first nine weeks of school. Please take a look at your child's grades. If they have missing work or low grades, assignments must be turned in or corrected by Thursday Oct. 9th. The first nine weeks grades will finalized at that point.
It’s time to sink your teeth into your child’s progress! Parent-teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 7th, with additional times on most Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:15–2:55. We’ll meet in person, but if a phone call works better, just let us know. We can’t wait to chat with our awesome Gator families!

PLEASE send headphones with your student. The ones we had in the classroom are now mostly broken, and it’s important that each child has their own pair. Students use headphones every day in all three of their classes, so having them readily available is essential for their learning. Thank you for helping us make sure your child is prepared and successful each day!
- Please remind your child to take proper care of their Chromebook: always carry it with two hands, keep it away from food, drinks, and younger siblings, and store it safely when not in use. Each night, ensure there is a designated place to charge the Chromebook and double-check that it makes it into your child’s backpack each morning. While we will reinforce that caring for the device is the student’s responsibility, your support during these first few weeks is essential.
Additionally, please send in wired earbuds or headphones that plug into your child’s Chromebook. If possible, label them with your child’s name.
For those who have kindly asked about our Amazon wish lists, you can find them by clicking on your teacher’s picture.
