This week, we completed our i-Ready Reading Diagnostic and Literacy Tasks. I will be using this data to form small groups and to guide small group instruction. We will begin working on our rotation and small group procedures this week, as we gear up to begin small group instruction.
In Reading, we made text to text and text to world connections. We also worked on picking good fit books.
In Math, we finished up our data analysis unit. Students did a great job collecting, sorting, and interpreting data.
Reading/Language Arts: I can retell events from a book in order. I can write narrative stories about my own life.
Math: I can use objects, pictures, expanded form, and standard form to represent numbers up to 50.
Science: I can classify objects by color, shape, size, and texture.
Social Studies: I can explain the purpose for rules in the school, home, and community. I can identify rules and laws.
Please remind your child to charge their iPad Monday night and bring it to school on Tuesday.
Library day is Tuesday! Remember to bring your library books to school on Tuesday in order to check out new books.
