Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing break. I am thankful to have the opportunity to teach your amazing children. 🧡🍂
We had a great field trip to the Perot Museum! Thank you to those of you who came and helped make the day so great for the kiddos! I am so appreciative of all the support. Huge shoutout to PTA for funding this trip and for the field trip shirts!
In Reading, we will continue to work on our comprehension strategies. This week we learned about the First Thanksgiving. We compared and contrasted the First Thanksgiving to ours today. We also compared and contrasted the life of a pilgrim child and the lives of children today. We also read A Plump and Perky Turkey and completed comprehension activities.
We finished our data analysis unit before the break. We will be applying our knowledge of data and graphing to plan our Holiday Parties this week. Then, we will be moving on to geometry and fractions.
We will be studying Holidays and Traditions in Social Studies and would love to include all of our Gator family customs and traditions. If your family celebrates a holiday other than Christmas, please let me know. Please feel free to share any fun traditions you may have as well. Children enjoy teaching friends about their family traditions.
Library day is Tuesday! Remember to bring your library books to school on Tuesday in order to check out new books.
Please bring charged iPad to school everyday.
Last day to register for Breakfasy with Santa is Monday, December 1st.
