We had such a fantastic week in 3rd grade filled with learning, laughter, and growth! A huge thank you to all of the parents who took time out of their busy schedules to join us for Curriculum Night. Your support and involvement mean so much to both your child’s success and our classroom community. We’re so lucky to partner with such amazing families—thank you for being an important part of our team!
- Please remind children to take good care of computers; carry with two hands, keep away from food, drinks, and little brothers or sisters. Each night we ask that you have a special place to charge the chromebooks and double check that they make it in your child's backpack in the morning. We will talk to the students about how it is their responsibility, but please help them for the first couple weeks.
***Please send in wired earbuds or headphones that plug into your child's chromebook. Label them with your child's name if possible.
Please make sure your child brings a pair of wired headphones to school as soon as possible. We use headphones every day for learning activities, and unfortunately, we do not have enough extras to provide for everyone in the classroom. Having their own set will ensure your child can fully participate and stay engaged. Thank you so much for helping us make sure all students are prepared for daily learning!
Last week, we explored figurative language—metaphors, similes, hyperboles, and onomatopoeias! We also compared and contrasted major characters in The Lemonade War and practiced monitoring and clarifying our understanding as we read.
