Second Grade is the Best!

Things To Know: 

*No school for students on Monday.  Teachers will be hard at work meeting and planning. 

*You should have already received an email from your child's teacher with a link to sign up for conferences.  If you did not receive the email, please let us know.

*Picture Day was a success.  They all looked amazing! Retakes are available in the spring if needed.

*The cafeteria is taking visitors again!  If you would like to have lunch with your child, please sign in at the office before coming to the cafeteria.  Second grade lunch is from 12:00 - 12:30.

*Thank you to all the parents for donating snacks to our classrooms.  With a later lunch, we will go through them quickly.

*Another thank you for the class donations from our class Wishlists on Amazon.  The children will benefit from your generosity.  Please continue to check for new items added to our lists.

*Planning ahead:  Lunch With a Loved One will be October 3.  It tends to be very busy and parking can be an issue to plan accordingly.

What we are learning:

Reading/Language Arts:  Central idea, asking questions, elements of drama

Math: Comparing and ordering numbers using <,>,=

Science: Properties solids and liquids

Social Studies:  Characteristics of good citizenship
