Welcome Fall!

Things To Know: 

*No School on Monday, November 3.  It is a professional learning day for teachers.

*Field trip time!  Chaperone notes and child reminders will go home on Tuesday.  Look for those in folders.  There will be lots of information about the field trip.  

*Storybook Parade was amazing.  The children were great.  It is so fun to participate in such a great community.  (The teachers had fun also!)

*Please continue to encourage your child to read, read, read.  Books are great to grab before getting in the car.

*Make sure you visit the calendar at the end of the newsletter.  There are many events coming up.

*The cafeteria is taking visitors again!  If you would like to have lunch with your child, please sign in at the office before coming to the cafeteria.  Second grade lunch is from 12:00 - 12:30.

*We are officially out of snacks.  Any donations of Sea Salt Veggie Straws would be greatly appreciated.  

What we are learning:

Reading/Language Arts:  Recognizing characteristics of a fantasy, nonfiction text and biographies

Math:  2 digit addition and subtraction

Science:  Sound energy

Social Studies:  Contributions of individuals to our country, state,  and community
