Second Grade is the Best!

Things To Know: 

*Check your child's Take Home folder for the iReady Diagnostic results.  We will be scheduling conferences soon to discuss these scores.

*Dot Day is Monday.  Help us celebrate creativity by wearing dots on Monday.

*The cafeteria is taking visitors again!  If you would like to have lunch with your child, please sign in at the office before coming to the cafeteria.  Second grade lunch is from 12:00 - 12:30.

*Thank you to all the parents for donating snacks to our classrooms.  With a later lunch, we will go through them quickly.

*Another thank you for the class donations from our class Wishlists on Amazon.  The children will benefit from your generosity.  Please continue to check for new items added to our lists.

*Picture Day is Tuesday, September 16.  Please be on time so that your child does not miss the photographers.

*Planning ahead:  Lunch With a Loved One will be October 3.  It tends to be very busy and parking can be an issue to plan accordingly.

What we are learning:

Reading/Language Arts:  Setting, making connections, text features

Math: Comparing numbers using <,>,=

Science: Properties of matter; solids, liquids and gases (oh my)

Social Studies:  Members of a community follow rules.
