Things To Know: 

*No school for students and teachers on Monday, September 2.  Enjoy your long weekend and extra time with your children.

*Thank you to all the parents that were able to attend Curriculum Night.  We are hoping this answered some questions about your child's year in second grade.  If you have any further questions, please contact us. 

*We are finishing the BOY iReady testing.  Please continue to encourage your child to charge their ipad each evening and make sure it is in their backpack.

*Thank you to all the parents for donating snacks to our classrooms.  With a later lunch, we will go through them quickly.

*Another thank you for the class donations from our class Wishlists on Amazon.  The children will benefit from your generosity.  Please continue to check for new items added to our lists.

What we are learning:

Reading/Language Arts:  Recognizing characteristics of different genres.

Math:  Representing numbers in standard, expanded, word and model forms.

Science: Properties of matter.

Social Studies:  Members of a community have responsibilities.
