What will we be learning in GT Lead this 9 weeks?

1st Grade -  Authentic Research  

2nd Grade - Simple Machines  

3rd Grade -  Spy School

4th Grade -  Detective School

5th Grade - Independent Research  

First Grade

We have finished our castles and will present them next week. The amazing creations will be on display in the learning commons during the Art Gallery walk around. Next we are moving onto authentic research. Students will brainstorm questions and evaluate ideas using a rubric as they learn about research and the impact it can have on a school or community. 

Fourth Grade

The Fourth Grade GT LEADers have created the most amazing monuments! We had the best time listening to each other present inscriptions while showing off monuments. Please stop by the Learning Commons during the Art Gallery walk around to see them all.  

Fifth Grade

It was simply incredible to see the fifth graders identify strengths and weaknesses and use the information to set goals for the year. Their final product was to make a wire art symbol to remind them of their goal. They also got to work on their presentation skills as they shared their goals with the class. Now the students are in the process of selecting a topic and create a driving question to guide their learning in our independent research unit.
