This week: We wrapped up Module 5 with exploring poetry! We discovered elements of poetry, theme and figurative language. We took our Module 5 assessment on Friday.
Next week: We will have fun reading a reader's theater script and solve a mystery! We will wrap up the semester and review learning targets from this nine weeks.
This Week: We will be diving into our fraction unit! Students will start with relating decimals to fractions. We will use models and pictures to help solidify this concept.
This Week : We explored some patterns of change in nature, including seasons.
Next Week : We will explore the patterns of daylight during the seasons and begin to learn about moon phases and other predictable patterns of change.
This Week : We took our test on Monday (12/15) and cover / review the Republic of Texas and annexation into the US. This will include the Mexican American war and the leaders of the republic of Texas.
Next Week : We will begin our week 17 newspaper on the development of the Texas Government (state and local), the creation of governments, the 4 US presidents who have been from Texas, and voting / elections.
Snack will be at 9:10 each morning. If your child wants a snack, they need to bring a nut free snack. Due to allergies, we are no longer allowed to provide snacks.
Library will be each week. Please remind students to keep their library books safe in their backpack!
