SUNDAY, September 27, 2020 26TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

PRIEST: Knowing the compassionate love of the Father, let us turn to him in prayer.

1. For God’s holy church, in word and deed may it proclaim God’s boundless mercy to the world, we pray to the Lord.

2. For leaders of nations, may they work together to safeguard the environment and to aid those most affected by climate change, we pray to the Lord.

3. For those who have lost their way and wandered far from God’s love, may they return to the Lord of mercy who is always ready to forgive and restore, we pray to the Lord.

4. For the victims of wildfires and flooding, may they find strength and peace through in the arms of a loving God, we pray to the Lord.

5. For the sick and dying of our parish, may they be comforted in God’s caring love, we pray to the Lord.

6. For our beloved dead, may they come to dwell in the house of the Lord, especially Jairos Garcia, Jaime Calderon, Cathy Van Tran, Thadeus Than Van Le, we pray to the Lord.

Here’s what’s happening in our Parish:

· First Holy Communion & Confirmation Classes Registration for year 2020-2021 has begun, please come to Faith Formation Office classroom 8 to register.

· Free COVID-19 Testing is this Sunday, September 27 from 10AM to 1PM on Church campus outside of room 7. Please register first.

· Come join us for Tet Trung Thu also known as Moon Festival celebration on Wednesday, September 30 starting at 6PM with Outdoor Mass and Lantern Parade at 6:30PM. Each child will be given a lantern and goodies.

· Come join us for Taize prayer on Thursday, October 1 at 7pm. Taize Prayer is a simple meditative form of worship, calling us to dwell deeply on Christ’s presence around and within us.

· If you or someone you know would like to receive the Anointing of the Sick Sacrament, please come this Friday, October 2 after 9AM Mass and 6PM Mass.

· In honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, we will be having our annual Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 3 at 10AM by the grass area.

· October 4 is National Life Chain Sunday. Please join us for a peaceful, prayerful hour from 2PM to 3PM along the sidewalks of Euclid Street and Warner Avenue.

· The Parish office is reopen for in-person service Monday through Friday from 9am to 12pm.
