SUNDAY, JUNE 13, 2021 11TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

PRIEST: In today’s second reading, St. Paul reminds us that “we walk by faith, not by sight.” With confidence in our God’s generosity and compassion, let us place our needs before him.

1. For God’s church throughout the world, may it provide shelter and welcome for all people of goodwill, we pray to the Lord.

2. For environmentalists and conservationists, may their work and study influence humanity’s care for the earth and preservation of natural resources, we pray to the Lord.

3. For migrant workers who plant and harvest, may they labor in safe working conditions and receive a just wage, we pray to the Lord.

4. For all gathered here, may we aspire to please the Lord in all that we do, we pray to the Lord.

5. For those nearing the end of life, may they be comforted and sustained by a loving community, and know deeply the tenderness of God, we pray to the Lord.

6. For those who have died and have put their hope in God, may God’s kindness be upon them and, especially Phero Le Thai Thieu, Delores Carrozzo, , we pray to the Lord.

One more petition:

7. Now let us pause and add our own intentions in silence (pause).

For our needs and those of one another, we pray to the Lord.

PRIEST: God of all goodness, you sent your son Jesus to teach about your kingdom through parables. Hear our prayers that we might plant the seeds of this kingdom and trust in your providence to bring them to fruition. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
