SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2019 FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT
UNIVERSAL PRAYER
PRIEST: We bring before the Father our prayers and petitions, trusting
that he hears and answers us.
1) For the Church during this Advent season of holiness, penance and preparation, we sing and pray to the Lord.
2) For elected officials, may God increase in them a desire to serve the common good, taking particular care of the most vulnerable, we sing and pray to the Lord.
3) For the sick, marginalized and poor, may our Lord Jesus Christ enfold them with healing and grace, we sing and pray to the Lord.
4) For this community of faith, may the fruits of the Holy Spirit abound in our preparation for Christ’s coming again, we sing and pray to the Lord.
5) For all those who have died may they experience joy with the
Saints in Heaven, especially Doris DeFraine, Thanh Viet Pham,
Tuan Anh Ha, Truc Lan Tejedo, Jacqueline DeMarco,

1. Knights of Columbus Christmas Cards & Dinner Sales
2. Spanish Community and the Our Lady of Guadalupe Society will be selling raffle tickets for Our Lady of Guadalupe celebration December 12th .
· Adoration for December will be on Wednesday, December 4th after the 9am Mass until before the 6:30am Mass on Thursday, December 5th.
· Father Wayne will lead our Advent Parish Mission on Friday, December 6th at 7pm in the Church.
· The Ladies of the Knights of Columbus and Friends present their 25th Annual Christmas Boutique in Doyle Hall Sunday, December 8th from 8am to 3pm.
· There will be a second collection next weekend, December 7th and 8th for the Retirement Fund for Religious. Thank you for your generosity.
· Advent Penance Service is Monday, December 9th at 7pm in the Church. Confessions will be available in English, Vietnamese, and Spanish.
· Advent Scripture Reflection books are in the back of the Church.
· Join us for a special Christmas Dinner, Saturday, December 14th at 6pm in Doyle Hall sponsored by the Holy Spirit Knights of Columbus. Dinner will be catered by Stone Fire Grill and the Knights of Columbus, and entertainment by the Singing Knights.
