SUNDAY, March 1, 2020 1st SUNDAY OF LENT

PRIEST: In the gospel reading we are reminded that “one does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.” Trusting in God’s providence and care, let us bring our needs before him.

1. For all who exercise authority within the church, may they be strengthened against every temptation and sanctified in grace, we pray and sing to the Lord.

2. For governments throughout the world, may they humbly serve the people in their care and work tirelessly to promote justice and peace, we pray and sing to the Lord.

3. For those struggling with addictions, may they receive the support, strength, and grace necessary to resist temptation, we pray and sing to the Lord.

4. That the Lord will bring us together as one church family in building up His Kingdom here at Holy Spirit as we work toward fulfilling our PSA goal, we pray and sing to the Lord.

5. For the sick and dying of our parish, may they come to know the healing power of Jesus, we pray and sing to the Lord.

6. For those who have died, may they come to share in the fullness of Christ’s glory, especially Leonor Almodovar, Hung Vi Doan, Anna Truong Thi Hao, Charles Figueroa, we pray and sing to the Lord.
