SUNDAY, JUNE 6, 2021 THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST (CORPUS CHRISTI)

PRIEST: In the Eucharist, Jesus gives himself to us as bread and wine. Let us turn to the one who satisfies our deepest hunger and place before him our petitions.

1. For God’s holy church, may an increase in priestly vocations make it possible for all the faithful to partake of the Eucharistic banquet, we pray to the Lord.

2. For officials elected to public office, may they enact legislation to combat the evil of racism while promoting the dignity of all human life, we pray to the Lord.

3. For all who suffer from food insecurity, especially children and the elderly, may their needs be provided for today and every day, we pray to the Lord.

4. For all gathered here, as the Body of Christ alive in the world, may we seek to be bread that is broken and wine that is poured out on behalf of others, we pray to the Lord.

5. For the sick and dying of our parish family, may they be nourished and comforted by medical professionals and their caregivers, we pray to the Lord.

6. For those who have gone before us, may they take their place at the eternal feast in the kingdom of God, especially Thomas Illencik, Sawahd Kankethaew, we pray to the Lord.
