TWENTY-SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

IN ORDINARY T

PRIEST: God has revealed to us the truth of eternal life and how to order our

lives around his love and mercy. Relying on that love and mercy,

we bring our prayers before him today.

1) For each one of us as members of the body of Christ, the Church, may the Lord draw us nearer to him in our every word and deed, we pray to the Lord.

2) For public officials, may the Gospel truth be the light that guides their decision making, we pray to the Lord.

3) For the sick and the suffering, may the hope and promise of eternal life bring comfort and peace to their days, we pray to the Lord.

4) For those who are gathered here today and for all those we love, may the Lord help us to cling to what is good, true and beautiful, we pray to the Lord.

5) For our beloved dead that they may be welcomed into God's heavenly

presence with the saints and angels, especially Thinh Van Tran,
