SUNDAY, August 16, 2020 20TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

PRIEST: Knowing the gracious love of God, let us bring to him all of our needs and those of our world.

1. For the universal church, may it be strengthened through its diversity and become a place where all peoples of the world find welcome, we pray to the Lord.

2. For those who have been entrusted with wealth and authority, may they humbly steward their resources for the good of their communities, we pray to the Lord.

3. For the newly confirmed of our parish, may they be guided by the love of God, the grace of Jesus, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, we pray to the Lord.

4. For all gathered here around the altar of the Lord, nourished by his Body and Blood may we go forth to proclaim the gospel to all we meet, we pray to the Lord.

5. For those who are tormented by physical, mental or spiritual illness and for their caretakers and loved ones, may Jesus’ healing touch bring comfort and peace, we pray to the Lord.

6. For our beloved dead, may they come to dwell in the house of the Lord, especially ___________________, we pray to the Lord.
