SUNDAY, February 7, 2021 FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

PRIEST: We know that our God is mighty in power and always ready to come to the aid of those in need. With trust, let us bring our petitions before him.

1. For ordained and lay ministers, may they bring hope to the despairing and be agents of healing for those in mental, emotional, and spiritual pain, we pray to the Lord.

2. For leaders of nations, may they be inspired to find and implement solutions to raise families out of poverty, we pray to the Lord.

3. For all gathered here, in our daily lives may we find moments of silence and solitude to dwell with the Lord in prayer, we pray to the Lord.

4. For those of our parish suffering from chronic and acute illness and for their caregivers, may they be comforted and upheld by Jesus the healer, we pray to the Lord.

5. For our beloved dead, may they come to dwell in the house of the Lord, especially Jose Estrada, Mary Ngoan Be, Mary Que Nguyen, Dominico Ky Duc Do, Joseph Thinh Van Nguyen, ______________ we pray to the Lord.

Here’s what’s happening in our Parish:

· Join us for a 33 Days of spiritual preparation for Consecration to St. Joseph. We invite you to join our 6 weeks group meeting to read, pray and consecrate your family and our Parish to St. Joseph starting February 9th.

· Everyone is invited to the Tet Lunar New Year with Mass, Entertainments, and Red Envelope. Festival is on Saturday, February 13 at 11am.

· Not a holy day of obligation but a great way to begin Lent. Our Parish Ash Wednesday Mass is on February 17. Mas schedule is posted in the bulletin and on the doors of the Church. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence.

· Funeral notices will be posted on Church website and Facebook, please remember to pray for our beloved deceased.
