SUNDAY, August 30, 2020 22^ND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

PRIEST: Firm in our commitment to follow the Lord, let us bring our prayers before our loving God.

1. For God’s holy church, in humility and faith, may it align itself with the poor, vulnerable and suffering wherever they may be, we pray to the Lord.

2. For those who are held captive or unjustly imprisoned throughout the world, may their hope remain strong and their freedom soon be secured, we pray to the Lord.

3. For those who have become impoverished due to medical expenses, may they receive the assistance necessary to provide for themselves and their families, we pray to the Lord.

4. For all gathered here, may we be strengthened in our commitment to deny ourselves, pick up our crosses, and lead lives of true discipleship, we pray to the Lord.

5. For the sick of our parish and others who are most in need of God’s loving care, may Christ’s peace restore and heal them, we pray to the Lord.

6. For those who have died, may they come to share in the fullness of Christ’s glory, especially Ruperto E. Corona , we pray to the Lord.
