SUNDAY, MARCH 7, 2021 3RD SUNDAY OF LENT

PRIEST: Knowing God’s love and compassion for all he has created, let us confidently place before him our needs and our petitions.

1. For those who offer pastoral ministry to the people of God and all who care for church structures and buildings, may their efforts bear abundant fruit, we pray to the Lord.

2. For faith leaders throughout the world, may they model interreligious dialogue and civil discourse that lead to understanding and peace among peoples, we pray to the Lord.

3. For victims of human trafficking, may those in slavery be freed and their physical, emotional, and spiritual wounds tended to by compassionate and experienced caregivers, we pray to the Lord.

4. For all gathered here, each day may we grow in fidelity to God’s law of love and mercy, we pray to the Lord.

5. For the sick and dying of our parish family, may they be nourished and comforted by medical professionals and their caregivers, we pray to the Lord.

6. For those who have gone before us, may they take their place at the eternal feast in the kingdom of God, especially Roger O’Conner, Beatriz Figueroa, Maria Thanh Mai Thi Trinh, Bat Tran, Thi Tran, Anna Hong Kim Thi Tran, we pray to the Lord.

Here’s what’s happening in our Parish:

· Read on Saturday and Sunday BEFORE 4:30PM Mass ONLY: Last day for Covid-19 Testing at Holy Spirit is this Sunday, March 7 from 1pm to 5pm.

· The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a Lenten Food Drive March 20th and 21st. Proceeds will benefit Catholic Charities of Orange County. Accepting canned and non-perishable food items as well as monetary donations. Please remember Christ’s words, “Whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me.”

· Join us for Stations of the Cross on Fridays during Lent, Vietnamese at 5:30pm and English at 7pm. If you would like to help lead Stations of the Cross during Lent, please contact Deacon Phil.

· We have resumed the 24 Hour Adoration on Fridays. Thank you to those who have signed up to keep watch with our Lord.

· Join us on Friday, March 19 at 6PM for the Celebration of the Solemnity of St. Joseph, with Procession, Holy Mass and Consecration. We will not have Stations of the Cross.

· There will be a second collection at all Masses next weekend, March 13-14 for the Church in Africa / Latin America / Eastern Europe. Thank you for your generosity.

· Next Sunday remember to set your clocks forward by one hour so you will be on time for Mass.
