SUNDAY, JANUARY 12, 2020 THE BAPTISM OF THE LORD

Priest: Confident in God’s grace and trusting in his mercy, we dare to bring our needs before the Lord.

1. For God’s holy church, may it continue Jesus’ ministry by constantly doing good works and offering healing to those oppressed in body, mind, and spirit, we pray to the Lord.

2. For peace in the Middle East, may God raise up just leaders and advocates to bring about a peaceful end to hostilities, we pray to the Lord.

3. For the victims of the earthquakes in Puerto Rico and wildfires in Australia, may the God of mercy keep them strong during recovery efforts, we pray to the Lord.

4. For all gathered here, renewed by the grace of our own baptism, may we be rooted in our true identity as beloved children of God, we pray to the Lord.

5. For all who are sick and those who have no one to pray for them, may they be comforted in God’s caring love, we pray to the Lord.

6. For our beloved dead, may they come to dwell in the house of the Lord, especially Carole Marie Kees, Antonia Lopez Gonzalez, Michele Rose Salvador, Margaret Jackson___________________, we pray to the Lord.

Here’s what’s happening in our Parish:

On the Patio today:

1. The Lovers of the Holy Cross Sisters annual bread fund raiser. Stop by the table and pick up some delicious bread for yourself and a friend and help the Sisters with their missionary work.

· If you are celebrating a marriage milestone this year (increments of 5 years; for example 5^th, 10^th, 15^th, 20^th etc) stop by the Parish office and sign up to participate on Sunday, February 9^th at the 12pm Mass with renewal of your Marriage Vows.

· Saturday, February 15^th at 12:30pm join other members of the parish for “Bowling for Vocations” at Fountain Valley Bowl. You don't need to be a "bowler" just come for the fun of it and for a good cause. Lots of fun and laughter. See you there!!! Tickets are available in the Parish Office.

· The Financial Statement request form is in the bulletin. Please use this form if you need to request a Financial Statement.
