SUNDAY, JANUARY 26, 2020 3RD SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME

PRIEST: With complete trust, Jesus’ first disciples—Peter, Andrew, James, and John— leave behind all that they know to follow Jesus. Emulating their faith, let us bring our petitions before the Lord.

1. For those who preach the good news of Jesus throughout the world, may they follow Christ with fidelity and serve him with joy, we pray to the Lord.

2. For lawmakers and government officials, may they strive to pass legislation that sup­ports the dignity of all people, we pray to the Lord.

3. For all gathered here, may we be granted the courage and strength to answer the call of Jesus in our lives, we pray to the Lord.

4. For all who are sick and dying of our parish, may they be comforted in God’s caring love, we pray to the Lord.

5. For our beloved dead, may they come to dwell in the house of the Lord, especially Marjorie Taneyhill, Thoa Nguyen, Virginia Arriola,___________________, we pray to the Lord.

Here’s what’s happening in our Parish:

· (Read on Saturday only) The Knights of Columbus Parish Breakfast is in Doyle Hall tomorrow from 8:30a.m.until11:00a.m.

· (Read at Sunday 7:30a.m. and 9:00a.m. Masses only) After Mass today head over to Doyle Hall for the best breakfast in town served by the Knights of Columbus. Good Food, Good Friends, Good Cause.

· Everyone is invited to the Tet Festival in Doyle Hall this evening after the 6:30pm Mass.

· Valentine’s Date Night with the Lord tickets can be purchased in the Parish office. Dr. John Yzaguirre (Is a gear e) and Claire Frazier-Yzaguirre will be the speakers for the evening. Live music and dancing follow the talk.

· If you are celebrating a marriage milestone this year (increments of 5 years; for example 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th etc) stop by the Parish office and sign up to participate on Sunday, February 9th at the 12pm Mass with Blessing of your Marriage.

· Saturday, February 15th at 12:30pm meet up with other members of the parish for “Bowling for Vocations” at Fountain Valley Bowl. You don't need to be a "bowler"…. just join us for the fun, laughter and to support a worthy cause. Tickets are available in the Parish Office.

· The Ministry of Ushers is need of volunteers for all Masses.
