SECOND SUNDAYOF ADVENT

UNIVERSAL PRAYER

PRIEST: As we joyfully await the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we offer these prayers and petitions with enduring faith in God’s power to provide for our every need.

1) For the Church throughout the world as she proclaims the Good News of the Lord, we sing and pray to the Lord.

2) For public authorities and political leaders, and for all who govern in every nation on earth, we sing and pray to the Lord.

3) For those who have turned away from God or do not know him, and for those who love them, we sing and pray to the Lord.

4) For all who are parents or guardians of others, and for all who desire to be so, we sing and pray to the Lord.

5) For all those who have died may they experience joy with the

Saints in Heaven, especially Paul Weiss, Marvin

Here’s what’s happening in our Parish:

On the Patio today:

1. Knights of Columbus Christmas Cards & Dinner Sales

2. His Hands Christmas Dinner sign ups

In Doyle Hall tomorrow(read on Saturday only) In Doyle Hall today(read on Sunday only) The Ladies of the Knights of Columbus and Friends are holding their 25th Annual Christmas Boutique from 8am to 3pm. Head on over and get some of your Christmas shopping done.

· The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is not a Holy Day of Obligation this year here in the Diocese of Orange. The Feast Day is moved to Monday, December 9th and Masses will be at the usual times of 6:30am and 9:00am.

· Join us as we pray the Advent Magnificat Morning prayer at 6:10am every Monday through Friday beginning Monday, December 9th.

· Advent Penance Service is Monday, December 9th at 7pm in the Church. Confessions will be available in English, Vietnamese, and Spanish.

· Our Lady of Guadalupe celebration on Thursday, December 12th begins at 4:30am with Mananitas followed by the traditional Mass at 5:00am. Reception following Mass is in Doyle Hall. Come and celebrate the Feast of the Patroness of the Americas and of the Diocese of Orange.

· Join us for a special Christmas Dinner, Saturday, December 14th at 6pm in Doyle Hall sponsored by the Holy Spirit Knights of Columbus. Dinner will be catered by Stone Fire Grill and the Knights of Columbus, and entertainment by the Singing Knights.

· Our Music Ministry will not be performing our Christmas Concert this year, as originally scheduled for December 13th.
