SUNDAY, February 2, 2020 THE PRESENTATION OF THE LORD

PRIEST: With trust in God’s goodness, let us bring our petitions before the Lord, our salvation.

1. For the church throughout the world, may it be purified in the refining fire of God’s love to shine brightly as a light for all to see, we pray to the Lord.

2. For leaders of nations, may they work tirelessly to lift up the disenfranchised, especially women and girls who are denied access to education and vocational opportunities, we pray to the Lord.

3. For all gathered here, may our eyes be opened to Christ in our midst as we seek to serve him in the least of our brothers and sisters, we pray to the Lord.

4. For the victims of last week’s helicopter crash, may God grace them with eternal love and peace, we pray to the Lord.

5. For our beloved dead, may they come to dwell in the house of the Lord, especially Khiem Thi Tran, Josephine Salgado,___________________, we pray to the Lord.

Here’s what’s happening in our Parish:

· After Mass this weekend is your last opportunity to purchase tickets for our third annual “Valentine’s Date Night with the Lord,” happening this Friday, February 7th. Enjoy an evening of dinner, live music and dancing, and an inspiring talk by renowned speakers John and Claire Yzagyurre (Is a gear e)….all for only $35 per couple, including free babysitting.

· Monday, February 3rd is the optional Memorial of St. Blaze, Bishop and Martyr. We will have the Blessing of the Throats in his memory at the 6:30 am and 9:00 am Masses.

· Adoration for February will be on Tuesday, February 4th after the 9am Mass until before the 6:30am Mass on Wednesday, February 5th.

· All are invited to participate in our Diocesan Celebration for the World Day of the Sick Mass on Saturday, February 8th at Christ Cathedral at 10am.

· The Ministry of Ushers is need of volunteers for all Masses. Please consider helping at the Mass you regularly attend.
