SUNDAY, APRIL 14, 2019 PALM SUNDAY OF THE LORD’S PASSION

PRIEST: As we recall the suffering of Jesus, we turn to the Father and offer our petitions for all in need in our world.

Cantor sings first

1. May the Lord richly bless all in positions of ministerial leadership, for their dedication to the Church and to the preaching of the Gospel, we pray and sing to the Lord.

2. May nations of the world embrace the nonviolence of Jesus who said, “Stop, no more of this!” at the maiming of the high priest’s servant, we pray and sing to the Lord

3. May all who work with children and young people be vigilant in protecting them from harm, we pray and sing to the Lord

4. May the sick, the incapacitated and those suffering from addiction, who by our loving care and prayers, experience the grace of God’s healing power, we pray and sing to the Lord.

5. May all those who have died experience the paradise promised by Jesus in his last moments, especially Paul Azzaretti, Huong Hoang, Hue Nguyen, _________________, we pray and sing to the Lord.

For our needs and those of one another, we pray and sing to the Lord.

PRIEST: Life-giving God, you are the light in our darkness. Be our strength as we journey with Jesus through his passion and death into the glory of Easter. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
