PRIEST: Knowing that we are loved and cared for by our heavenly Father, let us not hesitate to place before him our needs and the needs of the world.

2. For our country on this anniversary of our independence, may we remain true to our nation’s founding principles and always work for the common good, we pray to the Lord.

3. For our nation’s armed forces; those serving now, those who have come home, and those who have given their lives in service, may God bless and protect them always, we pray to the Lord.

4. For all gathered here, may our hearts be opened to God’s word and action in our lives, we pray to the Lord.

5. For the terminally ill of our parish, may they receive the proper care, love, and support they deserve until the moment of natural death, we pray to the Lord.
