SUNDAY, JANUARY 20, 2019 2ND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

PRIEST: With expectant faith and hope, we now bring before the Lord our prayers and concerns.

1. For all who lead the Church, may the Lord inspire them to lead with love and mercy, we pray to the Lord.

2. For federal government employees affected by the shutdown, may they find in Christ the strength to persevere and overcome their challenges and struggles, we pray to the Lord.

3. For the victims of mudslides and debris flows, may they recover with the loving support of Jesus and caring neighbors, we pray to the Lord.

4. For all who are sick, oppressed by addiction or in need, may they find peace and comfort through our loving Christ and their caregivers, we pray to the Lord.

5. For those who have died marked with the sign of faith, may they enter into eternal life with the God who created them, especially Amelia Nauseda, Tu Hu, ___________________, we pray to the Lord.

Here’s what’s happening in our Parish:

· On the patio today:

o Tickets for the January 26th Vocation Banquet. Come and support vocation awareness at Holy Spirit Parish.

o Registration for World Marriage Day here at Holy Spirit on February 10.

o Banana Bread baked by The Lovers of the Holy Cross. It is delicious so pick up a loaf or two.

o Pro-Life literature.

· Join us, Tuesday, January 22nd in praying 200 Hail Mary’s for the Unborn. The event will begin with the 9AM Mass.

· Tuesday evening is the Healing Mass with Fr. Michael Barry. Mass begins at 7pm.

· In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day the holiday hours are observed.

· Tickets for the Valentine’s Day Couples Sweetheart Date Night with the Lord on Friday, February 8th are available in the Faith Formation office.
