Sunday, February 14, 2021 Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
PRIEST: Just as Jesus was moved with pity at the plight of the leper who approaches him in today’s gospel reading, we know our God is one of boundless compassion. Secure in his desire to restore and heal, let us bring our needs before the Lord.
1. For God’s holy church, strengthened by the kindness and empathy of God, may we be a community where all are welcome to worship in joy and peace, we pray to the Lord.
2. For medical workers throughout the world who place themselves at risk to care for others, may they be protected and renewed in mind, body, and spirit, we pray to the Lord.
3. For those who have been ostracized and isolated from others due to illness or prejudice, may they find community and know their worth as children of God, we pray to the Lord.
4. For all gathered here, even in the midst of struggle and suffering, may we know the joy of living life in Christ, we pray to the Lord.
5. For the sick of our parish and those who have no one to pray for them, may they be comforted in God’s caring love, we pray to the Lord.
6. For our beloved dead, may they come to dwell in the house of the Lord, especially Maria He Thi Nguyen, Petra Holquin, Lucia Se Phung, Anna Hieu Thi Le, Dominic Thuc Viet Dinh, __________________________ we pray to the Lord.
