SUNDAY, December 6, 2020 2ND SUNDAY OF ADVENT

PRIEST: In this time of preparation and anticipation for the coming of God’s kingdom in its fullness, let us come before the Lord bringing our needs and the needs of our world.

1. For bishops, priests, deacons, religious, and lay ministers, may they shepherd the people of God with holiness and devotion, we pray (and sing) to the Lord.

2. For politicians, diplomats, and peacekeepers, through their work may justice, peace, kindness, and truth flourish throughout the world, we pray (and sing) to the Lord.

3. For all gathered here, formed by the Word of God, may we turn our hearts and minds to the work of preparing the way of the Lord, we pray (and sing) to the Lord.

4. For those nearing the end of life, may they be comforted and sustained by a loving community and know deeply the tenderness of God, we pray (and sing) to the Lord.

5. That God’s kindness be upon those have died and have put their hope in him, especially Joseph Hoang Tam Kim, Maria Nhu Ty, ______________________, we pray (and sing) to the Lord.

Here’s what’s happening in our Parish:

· The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Holy Day of Obligation. The Vigil Mass is on Monday, December 7th at 4pm in English and 6pm in Vietnamese. The Feast Day is Tuesday, December 8th and English Masses will be at 6:30am, 9am, and 4pm. Vietnamese Masses will be at 12:15pm and 6pm.

· Advent Penance Service (Outdoor) is Wednesday, December 9th & 16th at 7pm and Friday, December 18th at 12pm Noon. Confessions will be available in English, Vietnamese, and Spanish.

· Our Lady of Guadalupe celebration on Saturday, December 12th begins at 6:15am with Mananitas followed by the traditional Mass at 6:30am. Come and celebrate the Feast of the Patroness of the Americas and of the Diocese of Orange.

· The Knights of Columbus will have their Christmas Toy Drive on December 12th and 13th after all the Masses. Benefiting children in our parish and all of Orange County. Accepting new unwrapped toys as well as monetary donations. Help brighten the Christmas of a child in need!! Please be generous!

· The next Healing Mass is Monday, December 14th starting with Praise & Worship at 6pm and Mass at 6:30pm.
