SUNDAY, December 20, 2020 4TH SUNDAY OF ADVENT

PRIEST: Gabriel tells Mary, “Do not be afraid, for you have found favor with God.” With trust in our God’s never-ending love and merciful compassion, let us place our needs before him.

1. For our beloved Bishop Kevin and all those who have tested positive for COVID-19, may they recover to full strength under the care of medical professionals and through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray (and sing) to the Lord.

2. For those who hold elected office, with humility and integrity may they listen to the people they serve while also caring for society’s most vulnerable members, we pray (and sing) to the Lord.

3. For all women who are anticipating the birth of a child and especially for those in crisis and high-risk pregnancies, may they receive abundant support, we pray (and sing) to the Lord.

4. For all gathered here, may our faith be strengthened as we contemplate the words of the angel Gabriel, “For nothing will be impossible for God”, we pray (and sing) to the Lord.

5. That those in our parish community who are nearing death be consoled and supported in their transition from earthly life, we pray (and sing) to the Lord.

6. That God’s kindness be upon those have died and have put their hope in him, especially Maria Cuong Thi Le, Daminh Hoang Ngoc Pham, Maria Diane Hoang, Lawrence James LaBriola, we pray (and sing) to the Lord.
